CCL AND CEC URGE SUPPORT FOR CARICOM HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT 2030 STRATEGY
The Caribbean Congress of Labour (CCL) and Caribbean Employers’ Confederation (CEC) have jointly endorsed and expressed strong support for the CARICOM Human Resource Development 2030 Strategy, launched at the 32nd meeting of CARICOM’s Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD) in Georgetown, Guyana on March 31, 2017.
The strategy document was developed by the CARICOM HRD Commission coming out of a 2014 mandate by the Heads of Government to improve education and training in the region with the intent of ‘unlocking Caribbean human potential’…to create a ‘globally competitive, innovative, and seamlessly integrated education system to drive inclusive sustainable development’.
